Patty Staying Put

So, the Captain stays - thank you, I've been saying that all along. Regardless of the last playoff series, Marleau has been a mainstay for the Sharks. A nice two-year extension prior to the end of the existing contract, combined with signings of Thornton and Michalek, make for a nice team for the next several years. Add another D-man or have a youngster step-up (Carle - come on, Vlasic did his bit last year, your turn to do it this year - of course Vlasic cannot regress either) and watch out, the Sharks might make it out of the second round of the playoffs. Now maybe, all those "Trade Marleau" threads on various boards will go away - please!
